(7-8) Miami Dolphins v (5-10) Buffalo Bills

The Bills just manhandled the Dolphins 42-17. John Allen had a big game throwing for 224 yards, 3 TDs, and rushing for 95 yards and 2 touchdowns.

(5-10) Detroit Lions v (6-8-1) Green Bay Packers

The one thing the Lions continued to do was be inconsistent. Well at least they did so with a win. And they did so by goose egging the Packers. To get shut out at home by the Lions show there was more going on than Mike McCarthy should have been blamed for. But hey, the off season has started, and the Packers will have all of 8 months to get it right for next season. And they will have the taste of this 31-0 loss to think about in the off season.

(5-10) Jacksonville Jaguars v (10-5) Houston Texans

The Texans handled business and claimed the AFC South title. Though they allowed Deshaun Watson to take a few too many unnecessary hits, they walked out with the 20-3 victory over Jacksonville. They will be hosting Indianapolis next week.

(4-11) New York Jets v (10-5) New England Patriots

Pats clinched a first round bye after their 38-3 victory over the Jets. This will allow them to rest up several key players for the playoffs.

(6-9) Carolina Panthers v (13-2) New Orleans Saints

The Panthers second string proved to be better than the Saints. Though it was a victory over the backups, it is still a victory indeed. And is a good way to go into the off season. The Panthers will have a lot to reflect on in the off season, and you have to wonder if Cam will be back to form come next season. Ending the season 7-9 is a disappointment, considering they were on a projected path to the playoffs. But they will have a lot to reflect on both good and bad. The good is the fact they have another solid play maker to go with Cam in Christian McCaffrey. That is one of the positives they can take into the off season with this 33-14 victory.

(9-6) Dallas Cowboys v (5-10) New York Giants

The Cowboys were in regardless of the outcome of this game. But they wanted to use this game to springboard into next week. But even though the Giants lost, I like how they are going into the off season. They proven to have some play makers, one in particular is Saquon Barkley. He has given Giants fans a lot to get excited about for next season. Even though they lost this game 36-35, they are going into the off season with a victory. Let’s see who they pick up in the draft to help them out for next season. The Cowboys will host Seattle next week in the Wild Card Round.

(6-9) Atlanta Falcons v (5-10) Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This game was a close one, with the Falcons capping off their disappointing season winning 34-32.

(7-7-1) Cleveland Browns v (9-6) Baltimore Ravens

The Raven almost choked this season away. Baker Mayfield went off on them leading the Browns on a comeback. Though they ended with a L, they go in with a lot to hang their hats on. The Browns have the potential to be a good team next year, thanks to number 6. The Ravens survived, claiming the NFC North division title, and ending the Steelers season with the 26-24 victory over the Browns.

(4-11) Oakland Raiders v (11-4) Kansas City Chiefs

“This game may look lopsided on paper, and probably could be on the scoreboard, but the Raiders could steal one.”

Maybe not, this was a pretty lopsided game. The Chief used this game to make history, with Travis Kelce recording the most (single season) receiving yards by a TE (only to have that record broken by 49ers George Kittle 30 mins later), and Patrick Mahomes throwing for his 50th touchdown throw, and 5000th yard. The Chiefs dominated this one 35-3.

(11-4) Chicago Bears v (8-6-1) Minnesota Vikings

“Ain’t no love in the heart of the city, ain’t no love in the heart of town” (Bobby “Blue” Bland song).

The Bears had no love for either the Vikings or Minnesota. They ended their season with a 24-10 victory. The Bears will be hosting Philly next week in the NFC Wild Card round.

Screen Shot 2018-10-12 at 12.24.08 PM Bears (6-4)

Screen Shot 2018-10-12 at 12.24.17 PMVikings (7-3)

(6-9) Cincinnati Bengals v (8-6-1) Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers put themselves in a hole that their win here could not dig them out of. Despite doing their part and beating the Bengals 16-13, they will be watching the playoffs at home.

Screen Shot 2018-10-12 at 12.24.08 PM Steelers (7-4)

Screen Shot 2018-10-12 at 12.24.17 PMSteelers (8-3)

(8-7) Philadelphia Eagles v (7-8) Washington Redskins

The Eagles fought back, despite things looking bleak for them for this season. And thanks to the Bears “bear-ing up” they will be playing the Bears in the post season. The Eagles will have a very short time to celebrate, as they will need to get ready to face the very team responsible for getting them into the playoffs. But the Eagles will be playing in the Wild Card round, thanks to a 24-0 victory over the Redskins.

Screen Shot 2018-10-12 at 12.24.08 PM Eagles (8-4)

Screen Shot 2018-10-12 at 12.24.17 PMEagles (9-3)

(11-4) Los Angeles Chargers v (6-9) Denver Broncos

The Chargers could not steal the division, as KC dominated the Raiders, but they will go into the post season with some momentum. Final score 23-9, Chargers. The Chargers will be on the road against the Ravens next week for the AFC Wild Card Round.

Screen Shot 2018-10-12 at 12.24.08 PM Chargers (9-4)

Screen Shot 2018-10-12 at 12.24.17 PMChargers (10-3)

(4-11) San Francisco 49ers v (12-3) Los Angeles Rams

I don’t think I have anything left to say about my team that I haven’t already said. Yeah the Rams kept many of their starters in, but this definitely provided a good indication of what we are going to need to improve on in the off season to compete for the division. This L, though expected, sucks. But we go in with a bright spot in George “Stone Cold” Kittle. The tight end stole the record from Travis Kelce for the most receiving yards by a tight end. The Rams maintain their first round bye with the 48-32 victory over the niners.

Screen Shot 2018-10-12 at 12.24.17 PMRams (11-3)

(3-12) Arizona Cardinals v (9-6) Seattle Seahawks

The Cardinal played hard and kept this a close game, despite losing 27-24. They went down with pride, and this could help be the turnaround point for next season.

Sunday Night Game: (9-6) Indianapolis Colts v (9-6) Tennessee Titans

The Titans really missed having Marcus Mariota. He was scratched from the game as a result of a stinger suffered last week. The Titans’ Athletic staff feared the wrong hit could cause permanent damage. As a result of the Titans not able to get the ball down field, they were left one dimensional. Even with that disadvantage, the Titans were given multiple opportunities to get back in the game. They managed to get as close as 7 points, but a meltdown towards the end, due to penalties and having to get away from their strengths in the running game, was too much to overcome. The Colts will advance to play the Texans for a third time this year. Final score (in the final game of the regular season) 33-17 Colts.

So that will do it for the 2018 NFL (Regular) Season. We saw teams start out hot, only to fizzle out in the end. There were teams that started off rough, only to be in the playoffs. Traditional playoff teams, like the Packers and Steelers, will be at home watching teams like the Rams, Chiefs, and Texans make a push toward Atlanta. This season further proved that even though there are only 16 games, it’s still a long season. Teams that looked like a shoe in playoff team, are spending the playoffs watching the game the same way we will be, on the couch. Now that the season has wrapped up, a number of teams will be firing coaches and making moves. As teams want to find that next Sean McVay.

Thank you for joining us for this ride through the 2018 NFL Regular Season. We end the season of predictions with DeeCee winning both this week, and the overall picks for the year. Let’s see how we do in the playoffs.
