Saturday Games:

(7-7) Washington Redskins v (8-6) Tennessee Titans

The Redskins could not overcome all of the injuries, but they continued to fight. Adrian Peterson did all he could do, along with the rest of the team to overcome all of the adversities, but it just wasn’t enough. The Redskins are eliminated and the Titans live on for at least another week. Final score 25-16 Titans.

(8-6) Baltimore Ravens v (11-3) Los Angeles Chargers

The Ravens would not be denied. They took care of business and Lamar Jackson torched that Chargers D both on the ground and in the air. Now they sit at the seat in the lead of the AFC North. Final score 22-10 Ravens.

Sunday Games:

(5-9) New York Giants v (8-6) Indianapolis Colts

The Colts almost choked away their opportunities, but they managed to find a way to survive. And Andrew Luck help lead this team to victory, and keeping pace with the Titans going into week 17. Final score 28-27 Colts.

(4-10) Jacksonville Jaguars v (7-7) Miami Dolphins

The battle of Florida goes to the Jaguars, winning 17-7.

Screen Shot 2018-10-12 at 12.24.17 PMDolphins (2-2)

(5-9) Atlanta Falcons v (6-8) Carolina Panthers

The Falcons pulled away in the 2nd half. Christian McCaffrey broke the record for the most catches by a running back in a single season (106), passing Matt Forte. The Panthers have a bright future ahead for them, they just need to answer the question at quarterback if Cam Newton will be back to form next season. Final score 24-10 Falcons.

(6-8) Cincinnati Bengals v (6-7-1) Cleveland Browns

Talking about a bright future, Cleveland may finally have one in Baker Mayfield. Leading the Browns to their best record in years, they will have an opportunity next week to end the season with a winning record. Even more satisfying (for Baker) was being able to hand Cincinnati their second loss of the series and sweeping them. He had nothing but smiles to hand to coach Hue Jackson, as this (Bengals-Browns) rivalry may have just intensified. Final score 26-18 Cleveland.

Screen Shot 2018-10-12 at 12.24.17 PMBrowns (3-3)

(5-9) Tampa Bay Buccaneers v (8-6) Dallas Cowboys

For a minute there it looked like Dallas didn’t want this game. But Dak and the Cowboys handled business and held on for the win to clinch the division. The Cowboys are the NFC East Division Champs thanks to their 27-20 victory over Tampa Bay.

(7-6-1) Minnesota Vikings v (5-9) Detroit Lions

The Vikings hold on to the 6th seed one more week after beating the Lions 27-9. They still will need to win next week to hold on to that spot. If they lose and the Eagles win then they will be sitting on the couch come January.

Screen Shot 2018-10-12 at 12.24.08 PM Vikings (4-4)

Screen Shot 2018-10-12 at 12.24.17 PMVikings (5-3)

(5-9) Buffalo Bills v (9-5) New England Patriots

I don’t think there were any doubt that the Patriots would win this game and win their 10th straight AFC East title. This palate cleansing victory was much needed to put behind the Josh Gordon story, especially before the playoffs. Final score 24-12 Pats.

Screen Shot 2018-10-12 at 12.24.17 PMPatriots (6-3)

(5-8-1) Green Bay Packers v (4-10) New York Jets

This back and forth game actually went into overtime. Aaron Rodgers led his team back, being behind 35-20, in the 4th quarter. Though Aaron Rodgers will get the victory, Sam Darnold played an amazing game going 24/35, 341 yards passing, and 3 touchdowns. The game went into overtime where the Packers won the toss. Aaron Rodgers did not give the Jets another opportunity, as he marched his team down the field to a game winning touchdown. Final score 44-38 Packers.

(10-4) Houston Texans v (7-7) Philadelphia Eagles

Another back and forth game that went down to the wire. With both teams having a lot at stake, Philadelphia having more to lose, this game came down to the last possession. A last second field goal was the difference in this game with the Eagles winning 32-30. This victory keeps the Eagles hopes alive, and forces to the Texans into a big week 17 match up. If the Jags manages to beat the Texans, this may open the door for either the Colts or Titans next week.

Screen Shot 2018-10-12 at 12.24.17 PMTexans (7-4)

(11-3) Los Angeles Rams v (3-11) Arizona Cardinals

The Rams were able to rest Todd Gurley and still managed to win easily 31-9. The question now will be whether to play their starters or rest them next week for the playoffs. Next week they will be playing the 49ers at home.

Screen Shot 2018-10-12 at 12.24.17 PMRams (8-4)

(10-4) Chicago Bears v (4-10) San Francisco 49ers

My niners kept it close, but in the end the Bears won 14-9. Richard Sherman, and Bears Josh Bellamy and Anthony Miller, were ejected following a fight after a late hit (by safety Marcell Harris) on quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. The hit came late in the 4th quarter with 5:28 left in the game.

Screen Shot 2018-10-12 at 12.24.17 PMBears (9-4)

(8-5-1) Pittsburgh Steelers v (12-2) New Orleans Saints

The Steelers were the victim of some questionable calls, particularly the PI call on CB Joe Haden. Nevertheless, the loss to the Saints put the Steelers on the outside looking in, and needing help next week. The Saints now have home field throughout the playoffs.

Sunday Night: (11-3) Kansas City Chiefs v (8-6) Seattle Seahawks

Russell Wilson led his team to an upset victory over the Chiefs. Thanks to Wilson making some key scrambles, they managed to score the game winning touchdown late in the 4th. Final score 38-31 Seattle.

Monday Night Football: (6-8) Denver Broncos v (3-11) Oakland Raiders

On their last Monday Night game (possibly) in Oakland, the Raiders get the upset. On a special night where Marshawn Lynch lit the (Al Davis) torch, it seemed as if everything would go in their favor. Even a punt return that could have went badly, ended up turning into a 99 yard punt return touchdown for Dwayne Harris. On a special night for the “Black Hole”, they came out victorious 27-14.

One more week left to decide who plays in December. Pittsburgh is now on the outside looking in, Tennessee and Indianapolis will play head to head to decide their fates, Philly needs a little help, and the Texans are hearing the footsteps. Week 17 is slated to be an exciting close for the 2018 Regular Season.
